What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, do the same job. They let a website work properly, remember your choices and understand how it is used. This policy explains what we use on emeraldfundingsols.com. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.

What we use

Essential

These are needed to run the website securely and cannot be switched off in our systems.

• Security and spam protection. Our hosting and security services, including Cloudflare, may set cookies (for example __cf_bm) to tell people from bots and keep the website secure. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam.
• Language preference. The loan calculator and application form, provided by LoanBit, remember the language you choose.
• Your cookie choice. We save your Accept or Decline choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again for 12 months.
• Staff sign-in. WordPress sets sign-in cookies for our staff. Visitors do not receive them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to count visitors and see which pages are used and how people find us. We only allow it to set cookies, such as _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier (which last up to two years), after you choose Accept in our cookie banner. Until you choose, and if you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer of any page. The information is sent to Google and may be processed outside Jamaica, and we use it in aggregate to improve the website.

Third-party content

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from Font Awesome. When your browser fetches them, those providers receive your IP address and basic browser information. The loan calculator and application form are embedded from the LoanBit platform, which may set its own cookies or use browser storage to keep your session working. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

Managing cookies

You can change your choice about analytics cookies at any time using Cookie settings in the footer of any page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Each browser does this differently, and the browser’s help pages explain how. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website, such as the contact form and application form, from working. To stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits, you can install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if we change the cookies we use. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
